Robert Rainville was raised in a small town in New Jersey, where he began his artistic career at a young age. Fashion has always been an important part of his life, even when he was forced to abandon his passion to escape from the judgement of his peers. As he grew older and it was time to explore college plans, he realized he also had an interest in film direction. Rainville chose to attend SCAD, The Savannah College of Art and Design. As a film student, he was constantly exposed to SCAD’s many programs and his love of fashion was reawakened. Rainville saw that he could not resist his inner passion to be a fashion designer. As a result, he changed his major and dedicated his life to his deep love for the creation of fashion.
As Robert matured, he struggled with accepting his identity. It is because of these challenges that he strives for the highest level of creative freedom and liberation of the body and self. He believes in the importance of experimentation and rebellion against societal norms. Rainville believes this is the only way we will achieve our most evolved selves. With these thoughts at the forefront of his identity, Robert Rainville utilizes these ideas to exploit every capability of fashion.
The world has had an image of what the future will look like for quite some time. Rainville wants to provide a new image of the future: The future of his provocative vision based on the current zeitgeist.
